| SUMMER NEWS July 30th - We are half way through the Summer Holiday already...and it is hot, dry and smokey! Sure hope the Forest Fires get under control, so we can safely trail ride again. I have sadly had to cancel our Chimney Lake Ride due to the fire situation. We will try to re-schedule once conditions improve.
Our Summer Barrel Racing Series has had record attendance numbers. The BCBRA Finals are in Williams Lake this year at the Stampede Grounds, so the local girls are pumped and getting ready!
The cattle are out on pasture for the Summer... Cattle Sorting will resume at the end of September. Special events this Summer include the BC Barrel Horse Showcase August 14 & 15. This weekend features Futurity and Derby horses as well as regular BCBRA races. We also highlight barrel horses that are for sale and offer a venue to show them competing both indoors and outdoors at this event. Our Fun Horse Show is at the end of August and then we have our Pajama Gymkhana the next day. |
